The project involved the construction of a 13.6 km double track, including a new station south of Skoppum, with easy access from Rv. 19 and connections to pedestrian and bicycle paths. It featured three tunnels (Kopstad, Skottås, and Gråmunkt) with a total length of 5.1 km, as well as two bridges, four emergency sites, and two escape tunnels.
